Sandra Nash Hannegan, M.D., FAAD
Dr. Hannegan is originally from Eden, North Carolina. She received a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from the University of North Carolina, and she continued her pharmacy education at the Medical University of South Carolina earning her Pharm D. She received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina during which time she was inducted in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. After graduating from MUSC, she completed her internship and dermatology residency in Rochester, New York at Strong Memorial Hospital. After completion of her residency, Dr. Hannegan and her family returned to South Carolina and is happy to call Charleston home.
Dr. Hannegan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the South Carolina Dermatological Association, the Charleston Dermatological Society, and the National Psoriasis Foundation.
Carrie Zipperer, PA-C
Carrie Zipperer is a nationally certified physician assistant with over twelve years of medical dermatology experience. She is a native of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. She then attended the Medical University of South Carolina, where she earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2009. Carrie began her career as a physician assistant in Columbia, South Carolina where she worked in a dermatology clinic for eight years. In 2017, Carrie and her family moved back to the Lowcountry and she joined Lowcountry Dermatology. She is happy to continue practicing dermatology in her hometown of Charleston.
She holds professional memberships in the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the South Carolina Academy of Dermatology.
